Fixin the little things is a page where I can share family and handyman information. Basically, this blog is all about me. Shameless self-promotion: of my family photos, of my services, of my writing, of my future, of my amazing ability to come up with clever ideas on photos of my life experiences . . . And also, a blatant visual aide when it comes to colors, spelling, formating, editing and computer stuff.

Handyman Bob's Clock

I joined a web site for writing "How to Articles" called eHow a few weeks ago to give me an outlet for writing instructions. For years I used to write instructions for building missile parts and I have missed it. I've also needed a place to write instructions to help clients. eHow makes money from advertising and will share some of that with me for writing articles. The money isn't really big but it may be more in the future.

Check out my web site here:

Here is my latest article called "How to Fly Cheap During the Holidays"

Take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks!

My Clock

(See the letter below*)

I hope you had a scary Halloween and are looking forward to Happy Thanksgiving!

*November is a Month to Count our Blessings

A Letter from God: Today I will be handling All of your problems for you. I do Not need your help. So, have a nice day.

I love you.

P.S. And, remember ... If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do Not attempt to resolve it yourself! Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.

Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

  • *If you find yourself stuck in traffic, don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.
  • *Should you have a bad day at work; think of the man who has been out of work for years.
  • *Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.
  • *Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.
  • *Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.
  • *Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.
  • *Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.
  • *Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!

How To Prepare to Vote on Election Day

My Clock

I wrote a new article today. It is called "How To Vote on Election Day." I got a notice from eHow about someone else who had written an article on this topic and I tried it but the links would work and it had lots of mispelled words so I wrote one.
Check it out at: http://www.ehow.com/how_4581854_vote-this-election-day.html

I voted last Monday by mail.

I hope you are having a nice but scary Halloweenie weekend! I look forward to seeing your blogs on this topic. I hope you get out and vote!
